主イエス・キリストを信じていなければ...

「神を信じていると言っている信仰の価値（英：worth、尊さ）を厳しく吟味する（英：acid test）なら、主イエス・キリスト（が極めて大事）です。人々が主イエス・キリストを信じていなければ、神を信じていると言っても、何の勝ちもありません。主イエス・キリストを信じていなければ、人生や生活について高い見解を持っていても（何お勝ちもありません）。主イエス・キリストを信じていなければ、戦争を信じていなくっても、良い事をするべきと信じていても、何の関係もありません。私たちの主また救い主イエス・キリストを信じていなければ、神の栄光の為にやっていると信じていて、他の人の為に大きな犠牲を払っていたとしても、完全に無駄です。」マーティン・ロイドジョンズ

That people say they believe in God is of no value whatsoever unless they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ; that people may have very exalted views about life and living does not matter at all unless they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ; that people do not believe in war, or that they do believe in doing good, does not make the slightest difference if they do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. The fact that people may make great sacrifices for the sake of others and, as they believe, in order to praise God, is utterly useless unless they believe on our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."
